Most agents believe people leave their brokerage because of commission splits, but that explanation usually falls apart when you look closer. In my experience, agents leave because they aren’t getting the support they need to grow a consistent, predictable business. When growth slows and frustration builds, the split becomes the easy thing to blame, even though it’s rarely the real problem.
